Mount Putuo

DAY 17 AND 18

We took the ferry from Zhou Shan to Mount Putuo, where we would stay for two nights. The ferry ride itself took only 10 minutes, but it was packed with people.

First, we visited Dayuantong Temple. There were so many people that it was almost impossible to stand still. It was impossible to take photos. Here is a short video clip of the crowd.

After lunch, we visited Zizhu Temple, which was also crowded with people.

Finally, we visited the Nanhai Guanyin Grand Buddha statue, which is 33 meters tall.
